Good Morning Scouts and Parents,
Alsace: Nov 2-4 2018
We had an excellent trip to Alsace two weekends ago. This trip was highlighted by the service project to assist the historical society preserve the battlefield. Some scouts built benches and stairs while others cleared the overgrowth from the trenches. On Sunday we had scout games.
We have the annual service project with the American Womens Center Zurich Christmas Market on Sunday Dec. 2. I’ve included a flyer for this event. We need a total of 10 scouts for this project divided into two shifts of 4 on Sunday and one shift of 2 on Saturday evening. Shifts are 9:30-13:00 and 13:00-16:30 on Sunday. For those that made First Class before Alsace, you need 2 more hours of service for Star and this can be accomplished at this event. Let m know if you would like to participate, this is first come first served. Tell me the shift you want when you respond.
In the spring we will be selling oranges for Terre des Hommes again.
There is a hike this coming weekend that John has included in his weekly email. We will also be working on the skills needed for the upcoming Klondike derby (18-20 Jan.) I am in contact with the lodge regarding the final price of this event. Keep in mind the data and decide if you would like to attend.
